🐐 Goat Yoga at Rustic Forrest Farm & Sanctuary
Connection • Presence • Laughter • Healing
Join us for a goat yoga experience that is a little different from what you may expect.
While many people picture goat yoga as tiny baby goats bouncing across yoga mats, our classes focus on something deeper. Many of our goat partners are Nigerian Dwarfs and other members of our goat tribe who have chosen this work as part of their lives. These goats genuinely enjoy interacting with people, sharing space, and becoming active participants in the experience.
To help everyone stay comfortable and present, our goats wear belly bands or diapers when appropriate, minimizing distractions so we can focus on connection, movement, and the unique moments that unfold during class.
Our sessions begin with a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga flow that incorporates playful goat-inspired poses, breathwork, stretching, and mindfulness practices. Along the way, you'll learn about goats, their communication styles, emotional intelligence, and the individual stories of the goats joining us that day.
What makes our classes special is that no two experiences are ever the same.
Some goats may stretch beside you.
Some may quietly rest nearby during meditation.
Some may gently interrupt a pose at exactly the right moment, bringing laughter, perspective, and a reminder not to take life quite so seriously.
Over the years, we've discovered that these classes become about much more than yoga. They become opportunities for connection, co-regulation, nervous system support, emotional release, and learning to be fully present.
Goats don't dwell on yesterday.
They don't worry about tomorrow.
They simply exist in the moment.
Their ability to embody presence often becomes one of the greatest lessons of the class.
As facilitators, we provide the structure and guidance, but often the goats become the teachers—offering lessons in curiosity, boundaries, trust, resilience, authenticity, and joy. Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when we simply pause and allow space for whatever unfolds naturally.
Whether you're an experienced yogi, a complete beginner, an animal lover, or someone simply looking for a unique way to reconnect with yourself and nature, you'll find a welcoming and heart-centered experience waiting for you.
